Rain Creates Huge Big-Block, Dirt Late Model Doubleheader Friday at UNOH DIRTcar Nationals Presented by Summit Racing Equipment
Super DIRTcar Series, World of Outlaws Late Models return to Volusia Speedway Park Thursday for regularly scheduled program before massive Friday event
BARBERVILLE, Fla. – Feb. 22, 2012 – A heavy downpour rolling through Central Florida has forced Volusia Speedway Park officials to postpone Wednesday night’s racing program to Friday afternoon, creating a huge doubleheader with Friday’s regularly scheduled event.
On Friday, the first of two complete shows for the Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds and DIRTcar Late Models will begin with the pits opening at 10 a.m., grandstands at 11 a.m. and on-track action at 12:30 p.m. Following the completion of the make-up event, the regularly scheduled program will run Friday night with grandstands opening at 5 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday night’s tickets will be good for Friday afternoon’s event.
Thursday’s event remains as scheduled, with grandstands opening at 5 p.m., hot laps at 6 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m. for the Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds and the World of Outlaws Late Model Series.
