David Windham was seen as the favorite to win coming into tonight’s Miller Lite Six Pack Shootout race, and that was a good call. The Undefeated “Florala Flash, kept that familiar blue number 7 at the front spot through the unique format main event. The Miller Lite Six Pack Shootout was a 26-lap event with a caution at lap 20. Seventh place and back were done for the night at lap 20, while the front six cars then lined up for a six pack of laps to the checkers.

Kevin Jernigan and Travis Fowler led the Hobby main event to green. With the drop of the green flag it was Jernigan out front with Fowler second as Martin Tucker pulled up to third. Lap three saw Tucker take over second as Dean Shaw moved to challenge Fowler for third. Lap four saw Shaw take over third while Jernigan remained out front. Lap eight saw Shaw challenge Tucker on the outside to pull into second into turn three. Lap after lap Shaw reeled in Jernigan, but Jernigan held onto the point, eventually opening a small gap back to Shaw. Jernigan claimed the win with Shaw taking second and Fowler third.

Howie Reeves sat on the pole for the first race in the Miller Lite Six Pack Street Stock Shootout with Bo Bailey on his outside. With the green in the air it was Reeves taking the lead but when lap one ended it was Bo Bailey out in from with David Windham into second and Brandon Kilpatrick third. Caution flew on lap three when Reeves got squirrelly and everyone checked up with Bo Slay getting the worst of it. Restating it was Bailey leading Windham with Kilpatrick third. Under green again Windham challenged for the lead, taking it into turn three before caution flew on lap six when Josh Livingston spun in turn four. Windham led Bailey back to green with Kilpatrick third, Reeves fourth and Ryan Fowler fifth. With green over the speedway again it was Windham out front as Kilpatrick moved to second and Fowler followed into third. Caution waved on lap thirteen when Mike Lane went around in four. Windham leads Kilpatrick with Fowler still holding onto third. Bailey runs fourth with Calvin Cook at fifth and Slay in the sixth and final transfer spot for the final six lap dash. Windham holds the lead as Fowler runs high in four to drift back. Caution flew on lap fifteen when Bailey turned Slay around. Windham led back to green with Kilpatrick second, Cook into third, Reeves fourth and Fowler at fifth. Under green again it was Windham at the point while Reeves overtook Cook for third. Lap seventeen saw Cook slow and pit. Caution at the end of the first segment saw the top six of Windham, Kilpatrick, Reeves, Fowler, David Uebelsteadt and Kenny Tarter. With the green to start the final six-lap shootout it was Windham out front as Reeves slides into second over Kilpatrick. Kilpatrick battles back to reclaim second as Windham runs with about a six-car lead. Windham holds the point to the checkers with Kilpatrick second, Reeves third fowler fourth and tarter fifth. Reeves was disqualified in post race tech.

Ryan Fowler and Cole Griffith brought the Open-Wheel Modifieds to green, with Fowler claiming the point as the field rumbled into turn one. Griffith held on at second while John Melton pulled up into third over Greg Hopkins. Hopkins challenged back on lap eight to take third over through three and four. Out front, it was all Fowler. Griffith continues to hold second over Hopkins. Melton runs fourth with Billy Copple fifth. Lap fifteen saw Hopkins turn the heat up on Griffith, taking over second as they ran through turns one and two. Caution flew on lap sixteen when Griffith slowed high on the back straight. Fowler brings the field back to green with Hopkins second and Melton running third. Copple runs at fourth with Joe Barnes fifth. Under green, the field strung out once more without any changes in position. Fowler remained at the point to the checkers with Hopkins second and Melton third.

Jason Phillips led the Late Model field to green with Frank Wilson on the outside front row. As green flew it was Wilson rocketing to the point over Phillips as Martin Lilland filed in at third. Caution flew on lap two when David Seffens came to a stop low on the front straight. Wilson led at the yellow with Phillips second, Lilland third, John Cody fourth and Scott Sessions fifth. By lap four Wilson and Phillips had checked out over third place Lolland while Cody defended fourth from Sessions. Caution flew on lap seven when Stevie Blanchette went around in turn four. Wilson remained at the point with Phillips still hunting from second. On the restart Sessions went around at the entrance to turn one. Wilson again brought the field around for the second lap seven restart (Late Models do not race back to caution). Under green again it was Wilson still showing the way. At lap ten Cody moved into third over Lilland. Caution waved again on lap twelve when Blanchette again went around in two. Under green once more the field again strung out with no position changes. Caution flew on lap fifteen when Blanchette spun in two. Wilson led Phillips to the checkers with Lilland third.

Chris Bayhi led the field of Vintage cars to the green flag with Stuart Wilson on the outside. As green flew it was Wilson to the lead over Bayhi. In turn two Blum run up over Bayhi and came to rest high in two. Wilson led Aaron Buscavage to the yellow with Bayhi third. Back green it was Wilson holding off Bayhi for the point. Jesse Barnhill moved into third at lap three. Lap six saw Bayhii lose an engine and head to the pits. Caution flew on lap seven when Kevin Dunlap went around. Wilson again led the field back to the green, Wilson leads Barnhill with Buscavage at third. Lap eleven saw Buscavage go around in four. Wilson leads Barnhill with Tim Hendrix at third. Wilson led for the win with Barnhill second and Buscavage taking third.

JR Benton brought the Bombers to the green flag with Jason Hardy on the outside of the front way. With green flying it was Hardy into the lead over Benton. Down the front straight James Fox slowed, stopping in one and bringing out the caution. Benton ran high in four, allowing William Arnett to pull to second to the caution. Hardy led the field back to green. Benton runs outside to claim second down the back straight. Caution flew on lap three when Chris Haveard came to a stop on the front straight. Hardy leads Benton with Arnett third. Tally Warrick runs fourth with Terry Mayhair fifth. Under green again Arnett moved to second while Mayhair and Warrick battle for third, with Mayhair taking the position. Benton moves up into fourth with Warrick at fifth. Caution flew on lap eight when Chase Edmundson and Lee Wicker spun on the front straight. Hardy brought the field back to green but caution flew on lap nine when Mayhair turned Arnett in three and Benton spun in four. Hardy leads the field back to green with Warrick second and Josh Benton third. Warrick pitted under caution moving Jo Benton to second and Levi Donaldson into third. Donaldson moves to second behind Hardy with Jo. Benton third. Caution flew again on lap eleven for spins. Hardy leads the field back to green with Jo. Benton second and Heather Pecjak third. Hardy held the lead for another single lap until several cars tangled in turn four and caution flew again on lap thirteen. Hardy leads the way again with Mayhair second and Pecjak third. Caution flew once more for another tangle of cars on the front straight. Hardy led for a green-white-checker run to the finish with Mayhair second and Warrick back up into third. Warrick pulls to second on the restart. Under the white flag, Donaldson moved back to third as Hardy continued to lead. Hardy took the win over Warrick with Donaldson third.

Josh Hoffman brought the Stinger field to green with John Upshaw outside. With the green in the air for the nights final race it was Upshaw to the point with Hoffman second. By lap three Kody Cook moved the second over Dylan Kersey. Lap seven saw Nick Taylor, as he was being lapped, take out Upshaw at the point, in turn three. Also involved was Harry Beatty. Cook now holds the lead with Kersey second and April Ray third. Hoffman moves to third over Ray on the restart as Cook remains at the point. Lap nine saw Ray regain the third spot. Caution waved on lap twelve when Ray came to a stop on the front straight. Cook led the the yellow with Kersey second and Beatty up into third. Cook continues to lead and at lap fifteen it’s Cook out front with Beatty second. Caution flew on lap seventeen when Hoffman slowed down the back straight. Cook led the way to the green-white-checker run, but caution flew again on lap eighteen when Leyendecker came to a stop low in four. Cook held on for the win with Beatty second. Logan Lindsey claimed third.

Next weekend will be the first of six $500-to-win Bud Lite Bomber Brawl races. If you think there was some paint swapping going on tonight for a regular purse, you can imagine the excitement as they run for $500 to win! All other weekly classes will be running next weekend as well. Gates open at 4pm with racing at 7. On April 17th, the Open-Wheel Modifieds run for a $1000-to-win and the Northwest Florida Modified Compact Trucks will make their debut with their inaugural race! And, looking a little further down the road, on April 24th all weekly classes will race and the Winged Sprints will be on hand.
