Pure Stocks/Thunderstocks Go for $1000 to Win at Hendry County

Hendry County Motorsports Park is back in action this week, featuring
the Pure Stocks in a $1000 to win battle for the title of Florida
State Pure Stock Champion. Promoter Ken Kinney said this was the first
annual Pure Stock State Championship and he hopes to see it grow each
year.
Thunder Stocks from across Florida are eligible to race in this
division and along with Pure Stocks from all across the state have
been invited to come enter the battle for the state title.
The local V-8 Bomber class was recently absorbed by the Pure Stock
division as part of an overall plan at the track to build up the
“backbone” classes. Most all of the local bomber racers have several
years in the “entry level” bomber class, and the cars have evolved and
are close to the same as the Pure Stocks.
The Pure Stocks are still in need of a division sponsor, and it may be
the best bargain at the track this year. Thirty-eight drivers have
raced in the division since the “Everglades Clay” opened in July.

This is a points race for the local Pure Stock drivers, as are all
local races at the track. There has been no change to the tire rules,
they are the same as they have been all year.
